چکیده
Low back pain is a major cause of chronic health problems and often related to loading history. A test rig was developed at the Institute General Mechanics, RWTH Aachen University investigate influence duration intensity spinal using in vitro experiments on cadavers. In this work, several extensions spine are presented: (1) hydraulic cylinder with force measuring unit added apply axial compression; (2) new follower load principle system achieve uniform compression naturally curved spine; (3) specimen immersed phosphate-buffered saline protease inhibitors during testing period allow osmotic interactions one hand investigation different rest cycles other hand; (4) fiber-optic pressure measurement successfully measure intradiscal series. The first results obtained these show their functionality. enables wide range scenarios further parameters.

Simulation of Lumbar Spine Biomechanics Using Abaqus
Biomechanics testing of the lumbar spine, using cadaveric specimens, has the advantage of using actual tissue, but has several disadvantages including variability between specimens and difficultly acquiring measures such as disc pressure, bone strain, and facet joint contact pressure. A simulation model addresses all of these disadvantages. The objective of this work is to develop a method to s...
متن کاملIn-vitro mobility of the lumbar spine.
As part of a systematic study of the spine between D11 and S1 the response to stress has been assessed by measuring radiologically the total and segmental mobility of 103 specimens. The method was shown to be reproducible to within 10% of total mobility. No significant sex difference was seen. Total mobility varied widely, but mean total mobility fell with age. All lumbar segments became less m...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
